CHP Officers Make Deadly Hit and Run Arrest

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -- The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office said CHP investigators arrested a man in connection with a fatal hit and run collision.
Lau Van Huynh was arrested Saturday in connection with the killing of Simon Chavez on Jan. 15 as he was walking near highway 101 and Ortega Street.
Pieces of the car left at the scene enabled officers to track down Huynh, investigators said.
He was booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail on $1 million bail.
